Attachment of the wearables

The back wearables should always be attached in pairs (one COLLAR and one BELT wearable).

Attachment of the collar wearable

The collar wearable is best worn on the bottom layer of clothing (for example a T-shirt, with a sweater or cardigan over it), so it remains mostly stable throughout the measurement. Make sure that the wearable does not lose contact with the back when the person raises his/her arms in the air. It is important to insert the collar wearable deep enough so that it does not fall down when moving.

Attachment of the belt wearable

The belt wearable is best placed over the belt or a sturdy waistband (press the wearable all the way over the belt, otherwise it can slide back up during movement). It is better not to attach the wearable to a very flexible or thin fabric, as the wearable will then shift too easily while moving. If this is the case, you can use a strap to hold the wearable in place.

Make sure that the belt wearable is always attached to the right trouser edge, as far to the side as possible (approximately at the height of the trouser seam). Fastening the wearable on the left side, or attaching it too far forward on the belt can cause incorrect measurements. Do not attach the wearable to trousers that hang too low or to the pocket (the wearable will then move with the hip, so the measurements may not be completely correct). A good way to know whether the wearable is high enough on the hip: if the wearable tilts with the upper leg when raising the knee, the wearable is sitting too low.
